I’m Jim Logan and I graduated from the Berklee College of Music in 1986 with my focus on “Professional Music”. I am a fairly eclectic musician, having performed with many different types of bands. I played in Ibrahima’s World Beat, a 12 piece African band, that won the Boston Music awards in 1994. I have also performed and recorded with one of my favorite musicians as well as a good friend Bruce Thomas, find him teaching at Berklee. I have had the honor of playing with many other great musicians all of whom I have the greatest respect for: the list is long and they know who they are, that’s what counts. Currently I am enrolled at U Mass Boston in the MBA program with a focus on Not for Profit. I am also working full time for Helium Knowledge an Internet startup in the Boston area.

My name is Stefanie Pollender and I am the co-founder of Caravaan. I hold a Masters degree in Psychology and have lived and worked in Uganda between 2003 to 2005. I actively worked with and on behalf of local peace building initiatives in Northern Uganda. I believe that far reaching and substantial development in Uganda can only be achieved through lasting peace in the country. Therefore the music project shall show solidarity with the people in the IDP camps and shall help raise awareness among the international community and encourage them to put their efforts into stopping the still on-going war in Northern Uganda.
